Smell free and links

I was down at the station way too early, about 6.15, there's no smell around there at that hour.

We live in such a fun suburb.

Stink there at 9am

Got feedback from someone that the smell was there today at around 9am

No stink of any kind this morning we'll see what this afternoon is like. The smell was there yesterday on Glossop St there was a burnt plastic smell but it couldn't cover it up the stink.

No smell

No smell today! No burnt plastic and no stench! I wonder how many days this can last?

Didn't go to the station today

I ended up on the bus to Mt Druitt instead so I can't report if the smell was there or not.

More burnt plastic

This morning is was strong burnt plastic smell the breeze had pushed up around Forrester and Glossop. Very strong.

Weekend

I haven't been near St Marys all weekend. Went to Mt Druitt on Saturday and I worked today. I'll have to promote this blog a bit I think in order to get other people saying if the smell is back!

Nothing

No smell today either. I'm sure it will happen again soon! Stay tuned.

For Thursday

A quick one for Thursday (actually). I couldn't smell anything, but then I was down at the station about 6.15 and I didn't go by Forrester. And it was so early.

Burnt plastic this time

And this morning it was really bad burnt plastic smell, also across Forrester near Glossop. the burnt plastic is either from a different place or it's burnt to hide the other smell. I wonder which way?

Of course, this is only possible because of our location. Would this happen at Manly?? Not on your nellie!

Yuk!

Today was particularly vile. The stench was blowing across Forrester at the intersection of Glossop and was so strong it caused caught breath and horrified groans in the car. Luckily we only had to drive through it and the station itself was free of the smell.

Oh joy

Got a txt from someone going to work this mo0rning saying they couldn't smell anything, but by the time I went past, about 12.30, it was there. The breeze was carrying the stench across Forrester Road and not the car park. Driving with the windows down meant the car was flooded with stink. No use winding the windows up by then, just needed to wait for clear air to blow it all away again.

One of the worst things about the stench is that once it starts up it gets into your clothes and hair. If you need to wait on the station for a few minutes you end up smelling it all day.

Quiet Sunday

I did finally get down to St Marys, in the evening, and as one would expect it was decidedly not smelly at that hour. Just waiting for tomorrow.

Absent

It being a busy Saturday I haven't been down to the station, and seeing as no one else has really noticed this space yet no one else is telling what's going on down there. Don't know what I'm doing tomorrow but maybe I'll get to go for a quick visit and see what's happening.

No smell again!

St Marys had another good day. Smelling much better. At least when I was there...

Smell free!

I didn't end up in St Marys this morning, but I'm reliably told by someone else that the station was stench free today! After 3 days in a row of foul smell, sometimes mixed with other smells, maybe meant to mask it but just not managing.

Sick of the stench?

I don't know why I didn't start this months ago! I intend to keep this up until the smell is resolved.

You know the smell I'm talking about. The smell coming over the station when the breeze comes in the wrong direction. The smell that's been covered for a short while in the local papers and then all the interest went away. The smell that was officially blamed on VetLab but then they decided to fight it so nothing more has happened.

The smell was there this morning but there was a strong smoke smell along with it. I often wonder if the smoke or burning plastic aromas are meant to cover the other stench.
